Project Background
Due to significant differences between Indonesia and China in terms of climate, road conditions, regulatory requirements, and driving habits, automotive products require targeted localization testing before they can be launched in the Indonesian market.
Recently, the Indonesia vehicle adaptation testing project for a domestic Chinese brand’s SUV, undertaken and executed by our company, was successfully completed. This 60-day project covered a total test mileage of 30,000 kilometers, encompassing various complex road conditions and usage scenarios. This was a crucial adaptability verification before the model’s entry into the Indonesian market. The successful completion of this project not only provided the client with comprehensive and detailed test data, laying a solid foundation for the model’s official entry into the Indonesian market, but also demonstrated ZiShine’s professional capabilities in overseas vehicle road testing services.

Adaptation Testing
Indonesia’s complex geographical environment and typical tropical rainforest climate pose severe challenges to vehicle adaptability. We developed a detailed test plan tailored to the Indonesian market, encompassing five typical road conditions: urban roads, highways, mountain roads, general roads, and rough roads, each with a defined mileage allocation. The testing covered various aspects, including vehicle chassis, driver assistance systems, smart cockpit, electrical hardware, user experience, voice control, and in-vehicle connectivity.
The testing covered multiple cities and regions, including Jakarta, Semarang, Bandung, Surabaya, and Madura Island, comprehensively simulating real-world driving scenarios for users. During the tests, the vehicles were subjected to extreme conditions such as high temperatures and intense sunlight during the day and slippery roads during the rainy season, providing a comprehensive assessment of the vehicles’ reliability and durability.

Test performance
During this test, the model showcased several impressive highlights: outstanding comfort and handling. The vehicle performed exceptionally well in NVH control and seat comfort, receiving unanimous praise from test engineers and drivers. Its strong sense of technology, including the design of the LCD instrument panel, smart in-vehicle infotainment system, and ambient lighting, enhanced the vehicle’s overall luxury and technological appeal, meeting Southeast Asian users’ demand for stylish cars.
However, the tests also identified 96 issues requiring optimization.
For these issues, we collected detailed test data and provided timely feedback to the client, assisting them in developing a detailed improvement plan. We quickly completed software updates and function optimizations, ensuring issue closure and providing a solid guarantee for the subsequent launch of mass-production models.
Teamwork
This project was completed through close collaboration between our professional team and the client. The participating team included experienced road test engineers, local drivers, and a back-end technical support team. From vehicle customs clearance and license plate processing to road test execution and issue feedback, the entire process was seamlessly interconnected, efficient, and precise.
Significance and Outlook
As a crucial step for this model’s entry into the Indonesian market, the successful completion of this test provided the client with comprehensive adaptability data support, helping them quickly identify and resolve product issues in the real market environment. More importantly, this marks another successful practice for our company in the field of overseas road testing services.
In the future, we look forward to working with more clients to explore broader international markets!
